Our mission

Built because the
advice out there is
mostly wrong.

Too many career resources are built by people who have never done the job, never hired for it, and never navigated the transition into it. CareerStack exists to fix that — structured, honest, practitioner-built guidance for the AI era.

Why we exist

The problem is real.

The old way
What career advice looked like before
Generic YouTube tutorials with no structure
Reddit threads full of conflicting opinions
Bootcamps charging $12k+ for outdated curricula
CV templates with no role-specific thinking
Interview prep with no model answers
No clear path from where you are to where you want to be
Advice from people who've never hired for these roles
The CareerStack way
Structured, specific, honest
Role-specific roadmaps with a clear module-by-module path
Q&As written by people who've interviewed for the role
Skills Gap analysis that tells you exactly what to work on
AI resume builder that scores against real job descriptions
Certifications ranked by actual ROI, not sponsorship deals
Most content completely free — no paywall on the essentials
Consulting from practitioners who've done and hired for the role
What we believe

Six things we'll never compromise on.

🎯
Specificity over generality
Generic advice is worthless. We write for ML Engineers, Data Scientists, GenAI Engineers — not "tech professionals." If it applies to everyone, it helps no one.
🔓
Free first, always
The essential tools — roadmaps, Q&As, resume builder, certifications guide — are free. We believe access to good career resources shouldn't depend on your starting income.
🏗️
Built by practitioners
Every roadmap, Q&A, and piece of advice is written or reviewed by someone who has done or hired for that role. No content farms, no outsourcing to people who've never done the work.
📊
Evidence over hype
We tell you which certifications are actually worth the money, which skills companies actually test for, and what "3+ years experience" actually means in practice.
Fast to value
No 20-hour onboarding. No course bundles you'll never finish. Our content is structured so you can get actionable insights in 15 minutes and go deeper only when you need to.
🔄
Always up to date
The AI field moves fast. We update roadmaps, add new role types, and refresh Q&As as the industry evolves — not once a year, but continuously.
Our story

How we got here.

2022
The frustration that started it all
Our founder, a senior ML engineer, kept getting asked by friends and colleagues: "How do I break into ML?" The resources they found were either too academic, too vague, or behind a $3,500 paywall. The answer was always: "Let me write you something properly."
2023
First roadmaps go live
We published the first three role roadmaps — ML Engineer, Data Scientist, and Data Engineer — shared them on LinkedIn. 8,000 reads in the first week. The signal was clear: people needed this.
2024
GenAI changes everything
The explosion of LLMs created entirely new roles and made existing roadmaps partially obsolete overnight. We rebuilt the content from scratch with AI Engineer, GenAI Engineer, and MLOps added. Traffic grew 5x in 6 months.
2025
CareerStack as a full platform
Added the AI-powered Skills Gap Analyser, Resume Builder, Q&A Bank, Certification Tracker, and consulting services. Moved from a content site to the complete career platform for the AI generation.
